Louise M. Mimnagh specializes in Family Law, and is dedicated to addressing difficult family-based conflicts involving child custody and access, child support, spousal support, and issues related to separation and divorce. Louise's practice is specifically structured to provide both in-depth and cost-effective support to her clients.
Louise graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto) in 2014, and was Called to the Bar in June of 2015. While studying at Osgoode, Louise received the McMillan LLP Award and Charles Edward Woodrow Award for academic excellence. Her studies focused on family-based conflicts that arise from separation, divorce, and in an estate-litigation context.
Louise has numerous peer-reviewed publications, including papers addressing the impact of grief and bereavement during mediation, and complex evidence issues in litigation. Louise has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Western Ontario's law school, guest speaker at family law conferences, and a panel member for public education seminars.
Prior to law school, Louise completed her M.A. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (Ottawa), and her B.A. (Hons) Specialization in Social Justice & Peace and a minor in Gender, Sexuality and Culture at King's University College at the University of Western Ontario (London). Originally from the small town of Kincardine, Ontario, Louise spends her spare time staying active both outdoors and in the gym, indulging in her love of cooking, following politics, and volunteering with Growing Chefs! Ontario.
